Mother’s Day might be behind us but it’s not too late to give your mother a special gift. Let the moms in your life know that health insurance is available through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Enrollment is open all year round. Children and teens up to 19 can qualify for free or low-cost coverage – and parents may be eligible too.

You can apply for Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) coverage, even though Marketplace Open Enrollment for 2014 is over.

Medicaid and CHIP are joint state and federal programs that provide coverage to millions of Americans with limited incomes and some people with disabilities.

There’s no limited enrollment period for these programs. You can apply any time. If you qualify, you (or a family member) can enroll immediately.

Now that you’ve joined the millions of Americans enrolled in the Medicaid program or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), it’s important to use your new coverage.
