If you live in Utah, here is what you need to know about the Health Insurance Marketplace, sometimes known as the “exchange” or the “Obamacare” exchanges.
The federal government is running the Utah Health Insurance Marketplace. This means you’ll use HealthCare.gov to apply for coverage, compare health insurance plans, and enroll.
You can apply right now. Fill out a single application and you’ll find out if you qualify for lower costs on private insurance coverage based on your income or low-cost coverage for families and children through Medicaid or CHIP
Plans and prices for health insurance are available. If you want to browse before you apply, use this calculator to see if you qualify for lower costs and check out sample plans and prices in your area. When you fill out a Marketplace application, you’ll find out your final costs and savings. Coverage can start as soon as January 1, 2014. We’re available 24/7 if you need help with your application.
