Still need 2016 health coverage?
Open Enrollment for 2016 insurance is over. You can sign up for a 2017 health plan starting November 1, 2016, with coverage starting as soon as January 1, 2017.
If you still need health insurance coverage for the rest of 2016, you can get it only 2 ways:
If you qualify for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). You can apply for these programs any time.
You can get help enrolling in health insurance coverage by phone, with an in-person assister, or from an agent or broker.
Marketplace Call Center. Call to ask a question, start or finish an application, compare plans, or enroll. Available 24/7 every day, except certain holidays.
Find local help tool. You may be able to find people and organizations in your community who can meet with you in person and help you apply, pick a plan, enroll, and answer your questions. Some offer help in languages other than English or other specialized services for people like seniors.
Many insurance agents and brokers can help you enroll through the Health Insurance Marketplace. You can search for health insurance agents and brokers near you by using our Find local help tool.
Important: You can enroll in health coverage many ways, but you can get premium tax credits and savings on out-of-pocket costs only if you enroll through the Marketplace. If you qualify for savings, make sure your agent or broker knows to enroll you in a Marketplace plan.
